Same story as when I went out to Vegas. Thought the gas prices were going to be worse but when driving the open road of the American Southwest, one can drive for miles and miles and miles. Somewhere near Tucson (I think) is "The Thing" and for 200 miles either way you'll see billboards for "The Thing", and if you did - or will - have the courage to see "The Thing", then I say it's worth the dollar for admission (and a chance to stretch your legs). (Don't pay to see the Egress!) Very good drive time and MPG. Same story as when I went out to Vegas.
